Purple Door Ice Cream was not only fun to design but it was great working with the owners that are so passionate, community-oriented, and sustainably minded. We developed a fun, upbeat interior that supports the company’s “purple” brand, and used eco-friendly materials wherever possible. Custom designed hand-made wall tiles, and spoon collages on the fronts of the two checkout counters, create focal points that get customers smiling.  The owners crowd-sourced for the spoons, and received literally buckets full! Vintage looking stools sit in front of a long window counter where patrons can eat ice cream and watch the street life outside. The Purple Door Ice Cream is so successful that patrons often line up outside the door and down the sidewalk, waiting to get in! It’s a fun and functional space that screams ice cream!
