Project Statement

Renovate a building with cool vintage features and install a destination women’s boutique housing clothing, accessories, home décor, and a coffee shop? Yes, please! The building, that now houses Mood Boutique, used to be a grocery store, then a department store, and still had tin ceilings, an exposed brick wall, and beautiful thin-plank hardwood floors. The client had a vision of a cozy, welcoming, homey space where customers not only found merchandise, but could gather with friends for a shopping/coffee/wine experience. Many display fixtures were made from upcycled vintage furniture. Warm woods and textural materials were used throughout Mood Boutique to create the desired ambience. An elegantly outfitted waiting area was created outside of the dressing rooms for several friends and/or family to use while their counterparts come out to show off their new outfits. Our branding  department worked with the client to develop her logo and initial color palette.
