One of our artists took it upon herself to knit a sweater for Milwaukee’s beloved bronze statue, Gertie the Duck, who sits on top of Wisconsin Avenue’s bridge over the Milwaukee River. Complete with a white pom pom, the sweater drew so much attention, it made the news! That led to a request for a scarf for the bronzed sculpture of Fonzie from Happy Days, who stands a block away from Gertie on the river.
