More than 50,000 people attended NeoCon 2024, the premier commercial interiors trade show held in Chicago at The Mart June 9-11. Retailworks’ Senior Interior Designer Heather Dryfka, and Marketing and Communications Director Lisa Morgen were on hand taking in all the innovative designs and new products Vibrant colors and bold patterns made a welcome comeback. That’s not to say that classic monotones and muted colors took a back seat. In fact, there was a good balance of both spectrums which created dynamic environments.

Biophilia and sustainability were once again key features with an emphasis on eco- friendly materials. Neuroaesthetics, the study of how arts measurably changes the body, brain, and behavior was a topic of discussion and presentation.

Heather and Lisa’s favorite showcase was the one by Momentum Textiles and Wallcovering. It was a celebration of color thanks to multidisciplinary designer, Yinka Ilori who’s vivid geometric designs bring joy and positivity to a space. It’s no wonder why attendees who experienced this showroom were walking around with smiles!
