The 1980s were a totally rad time when creativity exploded in all genres from music to movies and beyond. Many of today’s mainstream pop culture trends were born in this fertile time. Plus, the clothes, interior design, and graphics were crazy colorful and just plain fun! When the owners of Summer of ’85, Paul Burgess and Julie Lukas, approached Retailworks with their idea for an ‘80s-themed bar/restaurant, we jumped into our tricked-out Delorean and set the flux capacitor for the Summer of ‘85! We provided a bodacious new logo and branding, which also helped guide the interior design elements, finishes, light fixtures, and decor direction. It was a totally tubular project, and we enjoyed it to the max!
