After helping Keith Killen renovate the M&M Plaza strip mall in Menominee, MI, he asked us to help him design the interior for his new pet store, Mighty Pet. We had much fun creating whimsical elements throughout the space, including an 8’ tall red fire hydrant (with embedded flat screen), a “dog house” for grooming, a doggie bathing suite, and an “underwater” aquarium department. Strong shapes and colors helped define the brand and were incorporated throughout.
A few years later, business was so good that they expanded the store to include a vet clinic and dog-hotel, coined, “Mighty Pet Lodge”. Once again we were brought in to help with the design.
“Perceptive and creative is how I would describe Retailworks. Working with Lyn’s team is a relationship. A relationship built on an understanding of what we want. Then with their talent, adding what we did not know we needed, to make the design remarkable. Sometimes I think about starting another project just to work with them again.”
