Door County Candy, a popular attraction located in a historic building on a main street in downtown Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, decided to expand into the space next door (taking out a section of wall in-between) so they could ramp up their manufacturing of confections on site. In addition to house-made fudge and chocolate delights, they also showcase about every type of candy imaginable (one wall is filled with nostalgic sweets, fun games & tchotchkes), and several flavors of popcorn and caramel-corn are popped onsite. Finally, an ice cream counter makes this sweet shop complete. The owner wanted to maintain an old-fashioned candy-store feeling, but bring more whimsy into the space. We developed a delicious candy-colored palette, customized fixtures to work with the existing Door County Candy vintage booths, designed fun signage, and created a memorable photo op in the front window with a super fun candy red resin sofa.
